Narrowboat

Digital nomads.
Slowing the pace and breathing,
Life on the canal.

One of our favourite places for a walk – Trent Lock near Nottingham. A junction of one canal and two rivers and, more importantly, two pubs and a tearoom. Nice flat walking in several directions, and always something to see.

I’ve always found canals fascinating for some reason, although I don’t think I could live the canal life now. Only been on a canal boat once – back in around 1972. Rained most of the week but enjoyed it.

I think you have to be quite fit to cope with the locks. Too old for it now. Maybe a couple of days on the Broads

Yep. Some of the lock paddles were difficult when I was early twenties so there’s no way I would manage them now – without crew 😂
