As the fog draws in
and the evening cold bites hard,
Warmth comes in friendship.
A foggy December evening, devoid of colour, so crying out for monochrome.

Remembering days
When I braved the open seas.
Now I sit and watch.
The North Landing at Flamborough in North Yorkshire is a sheltered cove, home to many seabirds in the cliffs. The Springflower is an old fishing boat, looking out over the cove where it launched.

High on the cliff edge
Insignificant figures –
but not to each other.
This image was taken from the island at Tintagel. The two figures on the cliff were a lucky chance, but help to give the feeling of both the scale and the companiable isolation of the couple.
